Pink Diamond Engagement Rings
Pink diamond engagement
rings are very unique and stunning. Diamonds are as unique as each of one us,
and today’s diamonds do not have to be the traditional colorless stone. They can
come in a wide variety of colors ranging from yellows, reds, blues, and any
variation or combination of these colors.
These stones are called Fancy Colored Diamonds. They get their coloring from
various trace elements. Yellow diamonds are created when there is nitrogen
present during formation. Radiation during diamond formation causes the diamond
to take on green hues. Normally an inclusion is an undesirable trait in a
colorless diamond but in a fancy colored diamond it can add interesting sparkle
and character.
One of the most popular and valuable fancy color diamond choices is the pink
diamond.
A pink
diamond is a lovely choice for an engagement ring. Just imagine a Asscher-Cut
diamond in a vibrant pink color. Not only is this an engagement ring that will
look beautiful on the finger, it is sure to be a conversation piece as well.
Many times when a rough natural pink diamond makes its way into a cutter’s
hands, they will end up cutting the rough stone into unique and unusual shapes.
Not only does this make the stone more desirable, it can accentuate the stone’s
natural beauty and create brilliant fiery sparkle.
Choosing a pink diamond engagement ring can be expensive. Be sure to do your
research when purchasing one. You want to avoid
synthetic stones or
treated stones. Always make sure that you physically see the diamond that you
are purchasing for the engagement ring setting.
If you are on a tight budget like so many of us are, there are ways to
incorporate pink diamonds into a setting and yet stay within your means.
Take a
colorless diamond and place a smaller pink diamond to either side, or surround
the solitaire diamond with a circle of smaller pink diamonds. Another option in
purchasing pink diamonds for engagement rings is to choose a less intense or
vivid pink stone, perhaps one that has brown hues to it. To the naked eye, this
stone is still pink and beautiful.
When it comes time to having your pink diamond engagement ring appraised, do not
be surprised when the appraisal comes back higher than the purchase price of the
ring. You have gotten an excellent ring to be sure, but be aware that the
insurance premiums are going higher as well. Nine times out of ten, if something
does happen to your ring, it will not cost the appraisal price to replace the
pink diamond engagement ring. Ask the appraiser to adjust the appraisal to a
fair replacement amount. This will lower the insurance premiums and still allow
you to replace the ring with one of equal value and beauty.
A pink diamond engagement ring is unique and stunning. These are probably two of
the same qualities of the woman who will be wearing this ring. The uniqueness of
the fancy pink diamond is sure to generate many compliments and be the cause of
much envy.
